Update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard features hundreds of refinements, new core technologies and support for Microsoft Exchange.
Refinements include a more responsive Finder, Mail that loads messages up to twice as fast, Time Machine up to 80 percent faster, a Dock with Expose integration, QuickTime X with a redesigned player that allows users to easily view, record, trim and share video; and a 64-bit version of Safari 4 that is up to 50 percent faster and resistant to crashes caused by plug-ins.
Snow Leopard is also half the size of OS X 10.5 Leopard and frees-up to 7GB of drive space once installed. For the first time, Finder, Mail, iCal, iChat and Safari are all 64-bit and Snow Leopard also features support for 64-bit processors which uses a lot of RAM but increases performance and improves security.
Finally, Snow Leopard also introduces Grand Central Dispatch (GCD) which provides a revolutionary new way for software developers to write applications that take advantage of multicore processors.
Snow Leopard makes OS X faster and more powerful than ever and is an essential upgrade for any Mac user.
